Client: A medium sized full service agency
Situation/Challenge:
Competitors are providing external access to internal agency files. The agency is under pressure to offer like services to clients. In addition, resource allocation tools are out of date and don’t extend to provide secure client access to work in progress or finished work.
DAM Intervention: Supplement existing Schedule All system with TeleScope SaaS to provide a full service solution to the Agency’s clients
Result: Agency can now quickly create client branded portals providing authorized access to client’s users from any web browser. With simplified user access, Clients can quickly find what they need, improving overall productivity across their organization and the agency. The agency expands its service offering and overall client satisfaction is greatly improved.
Client: A small regional post house
Situation/Challenge: Agency has committed to convert analog tapes to digital files and create an accessible secure central repository for clients to better manage work in progress and finished content. An agency employee was re-assigned to take on the task of managing the archive and delivering services to clients. To prepare for launch the agency identified a single client and began to take existing tapes and migrate them from analog to digital.
Today, content continues to be migrated, storage continues to grow, but the content is not properly organized, making it impossible to access. The initial Client is unhappy. And, now the problem exists across multiple clients as the account team has been actively selling this new service.
DAM Intervention: The agency needs agility to resolve these immediate challenges. Once a scalable solution, processes and governance are in place the agency can then expand services to clients to not only successfully migrate analog libraries but to find, re-use, create, produce, view or distribute digital media.
Result: The Agency outsourced to a skilled Digital Librarian via TeleScope DaaS who worked with the agency and key stakeholders. They defined process, workflows and governance. By selecting TeleScope DaaS, a scalable DAM it provides not only adaptable metadata schemas but also workflow tools. In addition, Telestream’s Pipeline, a network capture device was utilized to ingest tapes directly into TeleScope. Predefined metadata was captured automatically with ingest from Pipeline simplifying data entry at the onset. Upon ingest TeleScope created an archive master and a proxy (H.264). Migration to a digital workflow included digitizing the existing archive in stages while concurrently bringing all new work in as it occurs. Next steps include client portals to access archives for re-use and distribution.
Client: Three (3) regional agencies and an in-house Marketing Department
Situation/Challenge:
Review and approval workflows are not working. The marketing department is spread out across divisions located in Tokyo, London and LA. Spots are produced and need to be localized to run in specific geographies as well as published to the right brand and product web site. The team responsible for campaigns is dispersed across not only 3 divisions but 3 regional agencies. Comments are lost. Version control is cumbersome. Frustration is high. Too much time is spent redoing activities or looking for approved assets.
DAM Intervention: A centralized repository houses all assets. Ingest and capture workflows, governance and policies will fundamentally eliminate redundant work and confusion. Scheduled workflows and automated notifications will connect the right team members with the right action at the right time. Access from any device and a familiar branded portal with defined workflows speeds review and approval cycles, and distribution of ads.
