James Christopher Promoted to CEO and Jim Atkinson Joins as VP of Sales & Marketing

Toronto, Canada – Feb. 16, 2012 – North Plains, LLC, the leading provider of Digital Asset Management, today announced the promotion of James Christopher to President and CEO, and the hiring of Jim Atkinson as Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  These changes fuel the expansion of North Plains to support the company’s continued revenue and international growth.  

James Christopher previously led North Plains’ services and support organizations, and brings a depth of market understanding and customer focus that is ideal for leading North Plains’ continued growth as the premier provider of digital asset management solutions. Previously, James held executive roles at Alias, Apple and SGI, and has extensive experience in high-growth creative enterprise software companies.

Jim Atkinson comes to North Plains from Avid where he was the Vice President of Sales for the Americas responsible for a team of over 90 sales professionals that sold media asset management, production asset management, and professional editing solutions and services to some of the world’s largest and most recognized media enterprises.
