Feld Entertainment Adopts North Plains Systems' Enterprise Digital Asset Management Solution
TeleScope Enterprise to Manage Digital Assets and Workflow for World's Largest Producer of Live Family Entertainment
TORONTO, ON - NOVEMBER 14, 2003 - North Plains Systems, Inc., the leader in Enterprise Digital Asset Management (E-DAM) solutions, today announced that Feld Entertainment has deployed North Plains Systems' TeleScopeT Enterprise asset management solution in its Marketing Services department with future plans to deploy TeleScope globally within the organization. Feld Entertainment is using TeleScope not only to manage and track pre-production assets through to production, but also to enable the collaboration of all current and legacy show-related materials in production and then distribute them.
Feld Entertainment's more than 10,000 digital assets consist of images, Quark documents, Photoshop imagery, Illustrator drawings, PDF's and InDesign spreads. These assets represent the rich history of Feld Entertainment's live entertainment experiences including Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Circus, Disney On IceSM, and many others. Prior to TeleScope Enterprise, Feld Entertainment used multiple sources to manage assets & data with no integration to end-user applications.
"At North Plains Systems we are in tune with the needs of creative professionals through a decade of hard work with clients like Feld Entertainment, and we've incorporated much of this hands-on experience and knowledge into our TeleScope Enterprise solution," said Hassan Kotob, president and CEO of North Plains Systems. "Feld recognized the emerging trends towards the critical management of digital assets and their selection of TeleScope Enterprise will enable them to reap the benefits and ROI's that media and entertainment companies demand today."
"We are looking to Telescope as the key ingredient and core repository of all our digital assets, said Fred Wade, Vice President & CTO - Feld Entertainment. "As we move past this first phase, TeleScope will encompass all information our associates require to do their job, making it available at the point of need, just in time, wherever they may be, " said Wade.
With the first rollout to Marketing Services, TeleScope Enterprise integrated with Feld's Engagement Information System (EIS) enabling a one-stop view of all assets belonging to a show, including the metadata about the assets and the metadata about a show.
North Plains Systems' E-DAM solution enables Feld Entertainment to use and deploy assets throughout its organization, all while tracking their usage. Built on open standards and distributed architecture, TeleScope Enterprise offers a robust and open API that allows third party technologies and legacy systems to seamlessly integrate with the TeleScope environment. TeleScope supports hundreds of file formats ranging from graphics and text, to audio and video.
