Overview
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for architecting and designing North Plains' TeleScope software suite of products to deploy a functional solution that satisfies clients' requirements. This role will lead the requirements gathering, define and document the business drivers and functional requirements as well as contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's project management methods, techniques, processes and practices. This role will use good judgment and diplomacy while presenting and applying North Plains' solutions and be able to clearly and accurately define and demonstrate optimal ways of configuring the software to meet clients' requirements.

Requirements & Experience

I.T. professional with a minimun of 5 years experience in Information Systems in a combination of consulting and systems implementation roles
Minimum of 3 years prior experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably with either a big-5 consulting firm or with a large scale hardware/software vendor
Demonstrated ability to scope, plan and deliver projects on time and on budget
Strong analytical skills with ability to gather requirements, conduct business needs and workflow analyses and translate these into effective plans and solutions
Outstanding communication, facilitation and presentation skills and a proven track record in the delivery of Information Technology (IT) projects
Ability to travel 65-80% of the time Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
Experience providing end-user training
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Knowledge of the visual communications and media industry (media creation workflows) would be an asset
Understanding of LAN & WAN internetworking solutions
Experience with Relational Database Technology such as Oracle and Sybase
Knowledge of Web & multi-tier architectures
Extensive knowledge of Windows, Mac and Unix
Understanding and use of software applications including Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, QuarkXPress and Adobe products
Knowledge of prepress and font management is an asset
